Waste — seats with no real use

For each per_user license, Itamite compares assigned seats with real software last usage (measured by agent). If a user hasn't used Photoshop in 90 days, that seat is candidate to release. Prioritized list by seat cost.

Over-license — installs without seat

If you have 50 Office seats and agent detects 67 installations, there are 17 unlicensed. Itamite alerts immediately and shows which devices exceed. Critical before Microsoft SAM audit (can cost €30K-80K in fines).

Upcoming expiration

Configurable alerts 90/60/30 days before any license expiration. Email to procurement + Slack/Teams integration. Specific dashboard "Upcoming renewals" sorted by urgency and cost.

  • Adobe VIP / Adobe Audit: Adobe audits typically every 2-3 years. Itamite generates the Adobe report detailing: installations per Adobe product, assigned seats, last usage per user.
  • Autodesk Compliance: for companies with AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor: Itamite maintains detailed installation and usage record. The Autodesk report distinguishes between network licenses (FlexLM) and nominal.

How do I import my current licenses?
Three ways: CSV bulk with downloadable template, vendor portal integration (Microsoft 365 admin, Adobe Admin Console, Autodesk Account via OAuth — automatic daily sync), one by one manual with PDF contract attachment.
How much does Itamite SAM save on average?

Does it detect portable or non-admin installed software?
Yes. Agent analyzes complete file system and running processes, not just official installed programs list. Detects portable software, user-profile software without admin permissions, and software in non-standard directories.
What if a user has Office on personal laptop and works with corporate data?
If that personal laptop has Itamite agent (because BYOD managed), Office appears in inventory and compares with your licenses. If 100% personal without agent, falls outside scope.
Does it support Microsoft Server "user CAL + device CAL" license model?
Yes. For Microsoft Server licenses with CALs (Client Access License) per user or per device, Itamite maintains separate accounting. Useful for Windows Server, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL Server CALs.
